Actually vending novels and manga. (see what I did there?)
@ Nakano station
Standing outside a bar having a drink and a guy pulls up on a bicycle with 2 cats perched on the seat and cross bar. They were perfectly balanced and mellow. The owner got some water for them then jumped on and rode off. They were perfectly happy and balanced even when the guy was riding away. Ah Tokyo! Home of every possiblity.
Not often you see 5 guys in zebra print suits. Probably hosts.

Treated myself to new cartilige piercing (top sparkler) - sorry Mum!
Done by our new friend Stuart who is a pro body piercer.
So far a bit ouchy at bedtime but all good. I am a hygiene nut as you all know.

Our first Morsbag giveaway. When the word got around that the bags were free we had a feeding frenzy. Kristen was sewing to keep up with the demand.
Ordered sashimi plate at an izakaya and the head of the fish kept moving. Was quite disturbing. Kristen is a vegetarian and was totally put off her mushroom salad.

Cops thought I was an overstayer! They wanted to see my passport so drove me to the office to get it.
Update: The problem was that I hadn’t been to the ward office to update my (valid) gaijin card after my (valid) visa was renewed. So they needed to see my valid visa. They were very suspicious of me until the moment they saw my passport. They wanted to know where I lived (they could see it on my gaijin card) what was my job (they had my business card) how many people worked for me, how many were foreigners and how many were japanese, and also asked me dozens of times how long I had lived in Japan and how many visas I had been issued during that time etc etc. As soon as they sighted my passport they were all love and smiles and talking about how wonderful Australia was etc and how often I get back to see my family. They even allowed me to take this photo to amuse my friends!! Bastards!
I must have looked like a terrorist in my polka dot sundress and flip flops. But I guess my major crime was being foreign in an area called kabukicho.. racial profiling at its finest!!
Yum Yum!
2 curries, vegie patties and saffron rice.
