Dropped into National Azabu supermarket on my way back from Chinese embassy and felt like I was transported into the US. CNN piped through AV system and mainly foreign products. Kinda creeped me out a bit.

It is creepy, isn’t it? But they have Coopers upstairs and a good selection of Aussie wines, so just don’t stay downstairs too long.

Yeah this is my neighbourhood, i usually go to Nissin though, more ‘International’. National Azabu is more ‘American’

It was just creepy to be in the centre of Tokyo and feel like I was in another country. I guess though it is good for people who are here as expats but for others who have chosen to live in Japan like me, I kinda like to feel like I am really here and not in some bubble of fakeness.
