In the supermarket. No bread, milk etc.
Otherwise it was business as usual in the neighbourhood.

Hey T-chan,
Very glad to see you are all safe and sound. Devastating news seen here/coming out of Japan.
What is the local mood re the safety of the nuclear power plants?
Please let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do.
Sending you all hugs,
Megan, Geoff & Jack xxx
I was at the upmarket supermarket called “Peacock” at Aoyama just after midday and no bread as well. The shelves were bare where there used to be those big bowls of dried, flavored noodles and pre- cooked rice packets. No potatoes, or onions or staples like that. I guess if there is a huge power outage, we will be wanting just these kinds of foods. Barbara
