The light was a surreal colour and the clouds glowed orange. Photo taken showing the electrial wires- the Tokyo native tree!

I captured the same sunset in different hues. It was a good one tonight.

PURRRRRRRTY (and, nice work with that keitai camera)! When I lived in LA for 2 years (don’t ask why), I found out that the reason they had so many spectacular sunsets was because of the interference particles in the atmosphere. They bend, slow down and distort the light spectrum in different ways, pushing and pulling different colors out of the weirdly angled sunset rays.

Which goes to show, there IS a silver lining to everything, including pollution! The more crap in the atmosphere, the more spectacular the sunsets.

This one was influenced by a Typhoon and the surrounding low pressures. The light cast by this sunset was the most unusual I have ever seen.. I have seen pink sunsets, but this was definitely orange.
