Havent been to this city for a long time. First time in Summer.
First impressions are much better than last few times. Amazing what strong economic growth and upcoming Olympics will do for a city.
It is clean, ordered, happy people and honest-ish taxi drivers. Roads are great but the road rules are still optional for most people.  Have seen a fender bender already. Not us but our driver did reverse up the freeway for about 50 metres when he missed the exit.

    Great to know you arrived safely on the small aeroplane. People are having trouble getting visas as they are checking everyone so carefully. Hope the smog is diminished. Love from Mum
