    You can see the business opportunities when crowds like this gather for the latest, expensive (for them) product. Learning to queue is good news. How about queues for buses and trains? Mum

    People were fairly orderly - except in the forbidden city where it was a shove-fest.

    The city has really cleaned up mum.  People are happy, helpful and smiling for the most part.  The streets are clean and the taxi drivers honest.  Not sure if it was a pre-olympics spruce up or whether there has been real progress in the society. 

    I never felt threatened or worried about pick-pockets but we did keep our wits about us.  We were both really impressed with Beijing this trip.  i
